A day before the year 2024 drew to a close, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Malabon, Ecclesiastical District of Camanava, gathered for a program at the Malabon Sports Center to celebrate the 100 years of God’s abundant blessings upon their congregation.
The program commenced with a prayer led by Isagani Norlito Baltazar, a head deacon, followed by the opening remarks of Brother Ferdinand Lopez, the resident minister. He commended everyone in attendance for their unwavering unity with the Church Administration in all of the Church’s endeavors made possible only through the Lord God’s help.
An audio-visual presentation about the congregation’s history was then shown. Afterwards, talented brethren showcased their musical performances, featuring INC original music. The program also included the awarding of certificate of recognition to the congregation’s pioneering members led by Brother Bedan Ubaldo, district supervising minister, who graced the event with his presence.
The program concluded through a prayer led by Brother Lopez. Afterwards, all the performers sang “Itanyag ang Pagliligtas” (proclaim the salvation).
The Malabon Congregation was established on December 16, 1924. “I thank the Lord God for the blessings He has poured upon our congregation. Since its inception, our congregation has reaped immense successes, especially in the work of propagation. Truly, we have so many reasons to thank God,” enthused pioneering member Ismael Santos, who is also a head deacon.
Glory Mae Abendan, one of the program organizers, also shared her appreciation: “I thank the Lord God for the success of today’s event. Without His guidance, it would not have been possible. I hope this event serves as an inspiration to all the brethren and give glory to the Lord God.”
On behalf of the brethren in the congregation, Brother Lopez said, “We will remain united with the Church Administration in always doing what pleases God.” — With reports from Mia Hamel Calipay
