Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Local Congregation of Masinloc, Ecclesiastical District of Zambales North, Philippines, conducted a community clean-up drive at Sitio Bunga, Brgy. Sta. Rita, Masinloc on June 29, 2024.

The said congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers organized this socio-civic activity that was supervised by Brother Nemesio Llagas Jr., the resident minister.

After gathering at their house of worship compound, the brethren went to the venue that is approximately four kilometers away. Equipped with cleaning materials such as sanitary gloves, garbage bags, sacks, and brooms, they picked up rubbish and other types of waste, then disposed of these properly.

“The event serves two main purposes: to adhere to God’s command of doing good whenever possible, and to foster a healthier environment thereby strengthening the bond among the brethren,” stated Brother Llagas.

“Happy and fulfilling,” said Queen Georgia Gagarin, a district multimedia officer, regarding the day’s event. “Cleaning the environment is also our way of doing good to our fellowmen, as doing so helps motorists avoid dangers along the way. Thus, I’m thankful for being part of this activity. I will continue to be united with the Church Administration in continuously doing what pleases God,” she added. — With reports from Melma Doloritos of INC News Section
