The Ecclesiastical District of Leyte West, in the Philippines, instated 258 new officers during a special gathering of all Church officers in its jurisdiction on September 29, 2024.
Brother Marvin Garlitos, district supervising minister, officiated the holy occasion that was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Naval. Other local congregations, meanwhile, connected to the host site via livestreaming.
During the Bible-based lesson, Brother Garlitos emphasized to all Church officers the qualities that they should possess, to be worthy before God as they strive to become effective helpers of the Church Administration in edifying the faith of their fellow brethren entrusted to their care. Additionally, he highlighted the blessings that await those who devotedly fulfill their duties. After the homily, the oath-taking of the new officers followed.
Among those newly sworn as deaconess was Daily Rose Boregon of the Bunga Congregation. “I thank the Lord God for entrusting me with this duty. I recognize it as a gift from Him, and I pledge to fulfill it wholeheartedly,” she enthused.
“I’m overjoyed, so thankful to God, and the Church Administration for this duty I’ve been given. I know it’s not an easy task, but I will devote myself to fulfilling my responsibilities. I will always seek God’s help to become an effective helper of the Church Adminsitration,” said Jerico Jims Agapito, a group overseer of the Naungan Congregation. — With reports from Cris Luther Alcantara
