Grateful for the guidance and blessings that God has bestowed upon the congregation over the years, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Guadalupe, Ecclesiastical District of Makati, Philippines, celebrated their 95th anniversary with a musical event, among other activities. It was held at Guadalupe Nuevo Covered Court, La Consolacion Street, Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati, Philippines on February 2, 2025.

The congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers organized the event under the supervision of the resident minister, Brother Almineo Aguilar.

The day’s program commenced with a prayer led by congregation CFO overseer Brother Kevin Bayani, then the opening remarks by district edification overseer Brother Solomon Donato. He urged everyone in attendance to remain united with the Church Administration and continue doing what pleases God, in order to receive blessings not only in this life but also the salvation on Judgment Day.

An audio-visual presentation showcasing the congregation’s history was then shown. Following this, talented brethren performed musical numbers featuring INC original music. For the finale, the Guadalupe choir sang Salamat Po Sa Pagmamahal (Thank You for the Love).

“Praises be to God for the success of this event we’ve prepared for a few months,” enthused Buklod president Rowyn Permito, one of the program organizers. “I’m also looking forward to witness and be part of the centennial celebration of our congregation.”

“It’s overwhelming to witness our congregation’s 95th anniversary. I never imagined I’d live to see this day. Indeed, it is a blessing from God to reach this age and witness the Church’s successes,” said pioneer member Carmen Cabling, a deaconess for 41 years now.

“By God’s help and mercy, the congregation has weathered many obstacles and persecutions since its humble beginnings, and continues to thrive. As a testament to this, the members are now celebrating its 95th anniversary,” attested Brother Almineo.

On behalf of the brethren, the congregation’s bishop Asser Canlas said, “I thank the Lord God for blessing the progress of our congregation. We promise to remain united with the Church Administration in sharing our faith and nurturing the spiritual well-being of our brethren.”

The congregation was established on February 2, 1930. Brother Felix Y. Manalo, God’s Messenger in these last days, led its first worship service that was held at the residence of Pablo Ignacio.
