On July 5, 2024, the newly built house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bongabong, in Mindoro Oriental, Philippines, was dedicated to God during a special worship service led by Brother Rene Panoncillo, General Secretary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).
“I felt God’s blessings and joy filled my heart,” Faith de Leon, organist, commented after the gathering. “A dramatic improvement occurred when the new house of worship was completed. Its previous 200-seater capacity increased and many significant physical changes took place,” she added.
A LED wall was also installed, along with state-of-the-art audio and video facilities to be used in worship services. A baptismal pool was also incorporated in the house of worship. Aside from the new house of worship, the local congregation’s offices, parsonage, and guard post were also constructed within the compound.
“Despite the worsening conditions of the world nowadays, we never neglect the commandment of our Lord God to build houses of worship,” enthused Brother Rodel Mañebog, district supervising minister. “It is where we entrust our woes and troubles to our Lord God. He Himself commanded His people to seek Him in the house of worship, especially when facing trying times,” he added.
The 750-seater edifice has become a notable landmark in the municipality where it stands. — With reports from Nikko Delos Angeles of INC News Section
