Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Local Congregation of Carcar City, Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu, gathered for a special worship service on December 13, 2024, for the dedication of their new house of worship to God. Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, the Church’s General Secretary, officiated the sacred occasion.

“I thank God for His blessings, especially with our Thanksgiving worship service just a week away. I promise to take care of our house of worship,” enthused choir member Kenny Mae Largo.

The said new edifice can accommodate 835 worshipers and is located in Brgy. Bolinawan, Cambuntan, Carcar City, Cebu, Philippines, right next to the old house of worship, which had a seating capacity of 136.

The new house of worship has been equipped with an LED TV for videoconferencing, a Johannus organ, a CCTV camera system, and a state-of-the-art sound system. Offices for various departments and a new pastoral house were also constructed. According to the district leadership, a new district office building is set to be constructed within the compound early next year.

“The brethren in the Local Congregation of Carcar City are truly happy because their dream has come true—that one day they would have such a beautiful house of worship,” said , resident minister. He went on to share, “As the brethren mentioned, they thought it would remain just a dream, but now it has become a reality, and they can clearly see the glorious house of worship.”

On behalf of the brethren, Brother Oyando expressed, “We thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for allowing us to be blessed with this beautiful house of worship. All glory be to the Lord God. We also promise to Him that we will dedicate ourselves to fervent worship of Him.”— With reports from Benjie Mutia and Arman Dave Ochia
