Showing genuine compassion to fellowmen in need, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregations of Christchurch, Christchurch East, Fitzgerald, Halswell, and in Riccarton Extension, New Zealand South District, participated in a blood donation activity. It was held at the New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS) at 15 Lester Lane, Addington, Christchurch 8011 on February 20, 2025.

According to NZBS blood donor relations coordinator Vicente Contreras the activity yielded a total of 2,250 ml of blood.

“Knowing there are so many people not only in this country but also worldwide who are in need [of blood], it makes me happy to donate blood,” said Buklod district president Ledrus Dimarucut, from the Local Congregation of Christchurch. “Through this humanitarian activity we’ve been able to help our fellowmen, showing them our love and concern,” added another district officer, Dan Santos of the Local Congregation of Halswell.

“I’m inspired by the biblical teachings upheld inside the Church, such as about unity and helping people. With this activity, I’ve been able to fulfill such God’s commands,” said Christchurch Congregation KADIWA president John Lloyd Muli. — With reports from Jessica Marabot of INC News Section
