The Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa held a series of activities as their part of celebrating the 110th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Neighborhood Appreciation Day
On July 27, 2024, the exact day of the said milestone anniversary, local congregations throughout the district held a Neighborhood Appreciation Day.

In Nova Scotia, brethren united in cleaning up the neighborhood, while those in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island (PEI) expressed their appreciation and gratitude to firefighters. Meanwhile, brethren in Montreal, West Island, and Rideau handed out free food, drinks, and clothing to guests.

Brother Kyle Solano, minister of the gospel assigned in the Local Congregation of Montreal, attested that “the brethren were united in helping the community to follow God’s commandment that whenever we possibly can, we must do good to those who need it.”

INConcert
A day after, on July 28, the district held an INConcert in two separate venues: Théâtre Beaubois in Pierrefonds, Quebec, and Nova Scotia Community College Ivany Campus in Dartmouth. Gathered at the former were brethren residing at the Metro-Montreal Region, Rideau Region, and Quebec City, those from New Brunswick and PEI, and Nova Scotia at the latter.

On the said event, the audience enjoyed the musical performances of their fellow brethren as they rendered songs featuring INC Original Music.

“We will always unite with the call of the Church Administration in line with the theme of the Church activities this year, that as God’s people, we will continue to please our Almighty God,” expressed Brother Melvin Ibañez, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Montreal. — With reports from Frank Glenn Bunag
