To further fortify the bond among Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members, the Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa held its INC Unity Games on June 30 and July 1, 2024 at College Beaubois, Bowl-O-Drome, and West-Island Recreation Centre at Pierrefonds, Quebec.

Brethren from six Canadian provinces composing the said district—Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia—gathered at the aforementioned venues wherein they took part in playing various sports for the two-day event. Among the sports played were basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, bowling, and board games.

Sophia Duray, volleyball player from Halifax Congregation in Nova Scotia expressed that “playing with our fellow brethren is really nice. … we were able to bond not only with the brethren in our local [congregation], but also with brethren from other local congregations.”

Carlo Marquez, district KADIWA president from the Local Congregation of Saint John, New Brunswick, expressed that he was “overjoyed” upon seeing the brethren even from the Atlantic and Quebec regions who “traveled for 3 to 12, even 15-hour drives coming [to] unite with everyone.”

Brother Jeiel Robregado, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, stated that “the purpose of this activity is to show unity and love of brotherhood.” He further added that “All of these are ways so that even though they are hours away from each other, they are able to come together, meet one another, show love to one another by means of practicing the love of the brotherhood, and give glory and honor to our Father in heaven.” — With reports from Frank Glenn Bunag and Ira Pongase of INC News Section
