The Pagsamba Ng Kabataan (PNK) or Children’s Worship Service (CWS) officers in the Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North hosted a PNK Leaders Conference in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of New Era on July 6, 2024.

Aimed primarily at reminding PNK officers of their crucial role in values formation of the young members of the Church Of Christ, the conference was led by Brother Leo Gerrad Lazaro, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer. In his lecture, he highlighted the importance of the children’s regular attendance in worship services, especially as PNK officers have that crucial part of molding the children towards upholding the true faith.

Brother Lazaro also reminded the officers the appropriate way of interacting with their younger brethren. For the officers to serve as good role models, “proper decorum, personal development, and discipline were also detailed. These also make them effective in fulfilling their Church duty,” explained Brother Lazaro.

“The conference became an avenue for us PNK officers to keep in check if we remain responsible as we lead the young ones in the Church,” Xyra Henson, a PNK president from the Local Congregation of Sta. Cruz, Porac. “It inspired me to be all the more dedicated as I continue being an instrument of our Lord God in taking care of the young children.”

The conference also served as an avenue for the attendees to come up with and suggest worthwhile activities in health, values, arts, and music for the children to enjoy on upcoming PNK activities.

Kristel Ann Canlas, a PNK teacher from the Local Congregation of Porac said that “the activity has helped me become more aware of the spiritual welfare of the little brethren. It has inspired me to strive being effective in fulfilling my duty of teaching the little members of the Church, that they will remain active in the faith to always glorify our Lord God.” — With reports from Myn Tinio
