Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Victoria, Ecclesiastical District of British Columbia in Canada, united in spreading the biblical message of the reason behind the Lord Jesus Christ’s sacrificial death.
Despite unfavorable weather condition caused by torrential rain, they brought along to their house of worship invited guests, who are either their loved ones or friends, to attend an evangelical mission on March 23, 2025.
Brother Robert Anthony Vallejo, the resident ministerial worker, delivered a Bible-based lesson titled “The Reason for the Death of Christ.” In his preaching, Brother Vallejo emphasized the importance of understanding why Jesus Christ died and who benefited from His sacrifice, none other than the members of the true Church Of Christ.
“As people’s lives are at stake, it’s crucial then for them to understand how Jesus Christ will save them through the shedding of His blood,” said deacon and finance officer Danilo Eje.
According to the local congregation’s secretariat office, many guests expressed desire to continue listening to the biblical teachings the Church Of Christ upholds.
Mary Grace Mendoza, one of the guests, shared how the words of God stood out to her during the event. She explained that the question-and-answer format helped her better understand the lesson: “The answers didn’t come from the one who preached, but from the Bible.”
Mary Grace, along with her husband, was invited by Cecilia Sonza, a deaconess and finance officer. Cecilia expressed her happiness with the outcome of her efforts in inviting her friend, saying, “I hope they will be enlightened about worshiping the true God and having true faith. May this be the beginning of opening their minds to accept what has been taught to them.”
