Married members in the Local Congregation of Regina, Ecclesiastical District of Saskatchewan, gathered for their Buklod night on January 26, 2025 at the Delta Hotel in Regina.
District Buklod president Francisco Isip stated that the activity was held “to strengthen the bond and relationship of husband and wife [for them] to lead their household and guide their children in the proper way of serving our Almighty God.” The event included games, as well as musical performances featuring Iglesia Ni Cristo Original Music.
After a prayer, district supervising minister Brother Ramil Macaspac delivered the opening remarks. He greeted and thanked the couples who actively participated in the event despite their busy schedules. He also encouraged them to lead their household in remaining active in their Church membership.
Couples who have been married for many years were given the opportunity to share to the younger couples their experiences, especially on how they overcame problems by always seeking God’s guidance.
“It’s very enlightening,” shared Marcelo and Janine Malang who have been married four months ago. “It’s nice to hear some advice, and the struggles they’ve been through.”
Errol Rulloda, deacon, with his wife Odeza Rulloda, choir member, expressed, “As both husband and wife spend quality time with one another doing leisure activities, it is all the more worthwhile that we also remain zealous in taking part in Church activities.”
“It’s so wonderful to see that so many Buklod members have participated in this event,” expressed district Christian Family Organizations overseer Brother John Alvin Ching. “These kinds of events are important to foster the love between husband and wife so that most especially, we secure our faith in our Almighty God.” — With reports from Natalie Ered Saren
