“My heart is full of joy because to participate in the commemoration of our district’s first anniversary is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Witnessing the growth of the Church in our province has been incredible, and it’s truly amazing to see how God has guided us to establish an Ecclesiastical District in Saskatchewan,” said Shara Simeros-Bernandino, a choir member in the Regina Local Congregation.
Shara’s heartfelt statement reflected the collective sentiment of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Saskatchewan District, who gathered for back-to-back activities on September 22, 2024.
The momentous occasion took place at the Conexus Arts Centre along Lakeshore Drive in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
A special gathering was first held to praise and thank God for His unwavering love, which was led by Brother Emiliano C. Magtuto Jr., minister of the gospel. Citing biblical verses, he reminded the brethren of the district’s journey over the past year and the blessings God continually bestows upon His Church.
The message resonated with the Church members in attendance that despite any challenges ahead, they should remain uplifted and confident. Radomel Parsaligan, a choir member from the Humboldt Congregation, shared, “I was reminded of the importance of my duty. It renewed my zeal for my God-given tasks, filling my heart with joy and excitement whenever I have the chance to perform.”
After the sacred gathering, an INConcert was held, featuring musical performances by select members and officers from various Christian Family Organizations (CFO) who showcased their renditions of INC original music. This event was not just a display of talent, but also a reflection of the faith and unity that bind the brethren together in their service to God.
When asked about the preparation for the INConcert, Brother John Alvin Ching, the district CFO overseer, responded, “Although the members are miles apart, they dedicated their time to practice and gave their best in their performances. It was their united efforts and shared spirit to glorify our Lord God that inspired them to overcome any challenges along the way.”
Brother Ching further added, “We’re very grateful to the Church Administration for approving activities like this, which continue to reinforce and strengthen the faith of the brethren.”
Brother Ramil H. Macaspac, the district supervising minister, graced the musical activity and delivered the closing remarks, thanking the brethren for their devotion and commitment to their services.
