In preparation for the upcoming academic year, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members who are high school and college students attended a special gathering at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Tarlac City, Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac in the Philippines on June 15, 2024.
Brother Bhel John Ubaldo, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering. From the Bible, he pointed out that attaining education in life is very important, especially for the youth. It is key to a bright future. But above all, he emphasized, God will bless them prosperity in life when they always rely on God to help them make it through problems and difficulties.
“This special gathering is so timely especially nowadays when most people prioritize material wealth,” said Brother Jay-ar Aguilar, district Christian Family Organizations overseer. “Although we also take time to acquire education, among our other needs, but for God’s people, our top priority is to please Him.”
One of the attendees, Katherine Alcantara from the Local Congregation of Macabulos, said, “Being diligent in my studies is vital for me to secure a good future. But busy as I maybe in my studies, serving our Lord God will always be my priority.”
“As Christian youth, we were exhorted to remain on guard and firm in our faith. When challenging times come to our life, we ought to trust the Father by being devoted to our prayers to Him.
