Choir members in the Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba, Canada, convened at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Winnipeg South for a special gathering on February 7, 2025.

From a chapel housed in the Pilar Manalo-Danao Multimedia Center (PMD) of the Iglesia Ni Cristo Central Office Complex in Quezon City, Philippines, Brother Antonio T. de Guzman Jr., minister of the gospel, led the said gathering via livestreaming. Preaching a Bible-based lesson about the importance of Church duties and faithfully fulfilling them, he exhorted the choir members to always aim for spiritual maturity, and be of continuous help to the Church Administration, in order to please God.

“Balancing work and personal obligations can be challenging, but I’ve always prioritized my commitment to my Church duty,” said district choir director Lorelei Alcantara. “I often remind my fellow choir members that our duties are precious gifts from God. When life gets challenging, we can rely on Him to take care of our problems and challenges as long as we continue fulfilling His will.”

“It’s important for all Church Of Christ members, including those in the choir, to grow in the faith, cultivate it, and all the more solidify their relationship with our Almighty God,” said district supervising minister Brother Roland Andrade who graced the event with his presence. He added regarding the lesson taught to be a “timely reminder in fulfilling the duties with zeal and dedication for by doing so we honor and please our Almighty God.”

“Being a choir member brings about many blessings from the Lord God. At times I feel lacking, I firmly believe that God will provide and give the strength as I continue fulfilling this duty,” said Weston Congregation organist Anna Servino. — With reports from Kyra dela Cruz of INC News Section
