“We are thankful that as we celebrate the 62nd year of the Buklod organization, we received God’s counsel which strengthens the bond between married couples,” expressed Richard Gubat, Quezon City District Buklod president.
The special gathering commemorating the 62nd anniversary of the said Christian Family Organization (CFO) was held on December 8, 2024. Thousands of Buklod members in the district attended.
Brother Virgilio del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister, officiated the gathering conducted at the house of worship of Capitol Congregation in Quezon City, Philippines. In his Bible-based homily, which was beamed live to the district’s 21 other congregations, he highlighted that a family must remain obedient to God in order to reap success, such as living life at peace despite the troubles in the world nowadays.
Brother del Rosario added that on the part of parents, they should be united with the Church Administration in molding God-fearing children. In doing so, they ought to set themselves as good examples of being faithful and obedient to God.
Since its inception in 1962, the Buklod organization has been instrumental in strengthening the bond between married brethren, and in guiding parents towards having a family that is steadfast in faith and active in serving God.
“As Christian parents, we shall strive to fulfill what God expects of us. As we do our part, it is also our hope that our children will follow our example by also becoming faithful to God and united with the Church Administration,” added Haidee Gay Gubat, deaconess, from Nagkaisang Nayon Congregation.
In an interview after the gathering, Brother del Rosario stated, “It is vital that each Christian household continues to understand and obey God’s teachings for by doing so, they will be certain of receiving God’s immense blessings which He lays in store for the generations of His people who continue to please Him.” — With reports from Elizer Felix Hebrew
