The Ecclesiastical District of Britain South organized a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) Talent Showcase, all throughout the month of February 2025. During the events, the children performed songs, dances, short plays or musicals and spoken word numbers featuring INC original music.
The activity brought together kids from various local congregations belonging to the same cluster. Clusters one, three, and five held their CWS Talent Showcase at the South Reading Community Hub, 252 Northumberland Avenue, Reading; Clock Tower Pavilion, Swanley Town Council, St. Mary’s Road, Swanley; and St. Peter’s Church, Lockerly Crescent, Southampton, respectively, on February 9, 2025. Meanwhile, clusters two and four respectively conducted theirs at The Carnegie, Cage Lane, Thetford, and Battersea Chapel, 48 Parkgate Road, London a week later, on February 16.
“I’m proud of my children as they perform before the congregation. It’s heartwarming to see how much they enjoyed, how actively they participated in Church activities,” said Arcival Lubis, a parent from the Local Congregation of Hertfordshire, England, whose children are Avyel Jaevic and Agatha Jazz Lubis.
Afterwards, the panel of judges gave their scores on the performances based on preparation, appearance or costume, creativity, stage presentation, and audience impact. Participants, especially all the winners, received certificates of recognition, and INC Kids drawstring bags filled with goodies.
Trophies were also given to winners of each cluster. The local congregations that placed first are as follows:
Cluster One: Notting Hill, England Congregation
Cluster Two: North London, England Congregation
Cluster Three: Stratford, London Congregation
Cluster Four: Battersea, London, England Congregation
Cluster Five: Southampton, England Congregation
“It feels wonderful performing before the brethren. This activity brings together members from other congregations, which is great because I had so much fun bonding with them. I’m looking forward to more activities like this,” said William Campbell of Heathrow, London Congregation.
Southampton Congregation CWS choir member Adriana Morelos expressed, “It takes a lot of hard work to perform before the brethren. However, with the support of my parents and CWS officers, I gained the confidence to perform. Overall, I love seeing the diverse talents of my fellow children in the Church.”
“It is incredibly inspiring to see them performing before us,” said district CWS president Yuriel Luigi Perico. “On behalf of all the CWS officers, parents, and children in our district, we extend our heartfelt thanks to God and to the Church Administration for continuously overseeing our spiritual welfare.” — With reports from Velocity Aliermo of INC News Section
