For the members of the Local Congregation of Tangub, their celebration of the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s 110th Anniversary was made even more special with the rededication of their house of worship.
On July 26, 2024, they gathered in their newly renovated worship building, situated along Maria Clara Road in Bacolod, Negros Occidental, Philippines, to dedicate it to the Lord God through a special worship service.
Brother Rene J. Panoncillo, the Church’s General Secretary, officiated at the grace-filled occasion during which the brethren offered praises and thanks to the Lord God for the wonderful blessings He bestowed on them as well as listened to His words.
In his homily, Brother Panoncillo reminded the congregants of the great significance of the houses of worship in their spiritual lives so it is only right that it be kept clean, orderly, and elegant, for it is where God’s Name and glory dwell.
“I’m joyful because we, in the congregation, are longing for almost a year that our house of worship be completed in its renovation,” Mica Banogon, choir member, expressed. “Through the Almighty Father’s mercy, the house of worship underwent significant changes, and for us choir members, the improved lighting was noticeable.”
Besides undergoing complete repair, the 800-seater house of worship was furnished with new equipment such as CCTV camera system, LED wall, state-of-the-art sound system, and Johannus organ. A separate building was also built which now houses the parsonage and offices for various departments.
“The brethren here in Tangub are active in their services to the Lord God. It even resulted to many local congregations that branched out from their congregation,” Brother Cirmilo Geron, resident minister, attested. “We will maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of this house of worship.” — With reports from Chinny Jane Guinabo
