The propagational works of the brethren from the Local Congregations of Tarlac City and Maliwalo, both in the Ecclesiastical District of Tarlac City, Tarlac, Philippines, continue to bear fruits leading to the establishment of the Maamot and Bora Extensions respectively. The first worship service of the said extensions, officiated at by Brother Bhel John Ubaldo, district supervising minister, were held on January 23 and February 12, 2025, respectively.

Maamot Extension

Named after the street where the 100-seater place of worship of the extension is situated in San Jose, Tarlac, the Maamot Extension is 30 kilometers away from the Tarlac City Local Congregation, its mother congregation.

“I’m so happy that our congregation have been gifted a beautiful house of worship. With this progress, we don’t have to travel that far,” said deaconess Angelita Valdez.

“For members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, the house of worship is so important because it is where we receive God’s words which we ought to have faith in,” said choir member Grace Ann Labrador.

The extension is the third of its kind that Tarlac City Congregation has been instrumental in establishing, the others being Lalapac Ext. and Mabilog Ext.

On behalf of the extension, resident ministerial worker Brother Jonimert Lorr Orit said, “We thank the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for supporting us, that we now have a new and suitable house of worship. We will take good care of it, all for the glory of God.”

Bora Extension

Three months prior to its 98th anniversary, Maliwalo Congregation established the Bora Extension, which was also named after the street where it is situated.

With the extension’s house of worship just three kilometers away from that of Maliwalo, the local congregation’s officers and brethren joined in attending the occasion.

The extension used to be “a purok (area) whose Church membership keep flourishing even though it is a bit far from Maliwalo house of worship,” attested head deacon Alberto Del Rosario. It was him who wholeheartedly donated to the Church his 240-square-meter parcel of land. “The brethren’s unwavering efforts, such as walking the distance just to be able to attend worship services, inspired us to strive to have an extension here and their own house of worship. Praises be to God for this success He has endowed to us,” he added.

“I’m so happy now that we have our own house of worship here in Bora. I’ve so anticipated this,” enthused deaconess Ofelia Lacanlale.

Inspired for having been blessed their own house of worship, the extension “will further intensify our unity with the activities the Church Administration launches, especially in propagating our faith,” said resident minister Brother Rolan Pingol on behalf of the brethren. — With assistance from Christian Miranda and Bealyssa Bianca Basto of INC News Section
