Tokyo Local Congregation, recently marked its 47th anniversary. A celebratory gathering was held at the function hall of High Life Plaza in Itabashi on September 1, 2024, expressing the brethren’s gratitude to God for His guidance and blessings over the years.

Various choral groups in the congregation performed Iglesia Ni Cristo original music: the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) choir sang Po at Opo, the congregation’s adult choir Ang Pag-awit sa Iyo ay Kaaliwan (Singing to You is Comfort), the secretariat choir Ang ating Pagsamba sa Panginoong Diyos (Our Worship of the Lord God), KADIWA choir Ikaw ang Hiling (You are the one I prayed for), finance officers’ choir Akay ng Pag-ibig (Guided by Love), and Tokyo Chorale Group with Salamat po sa Pagmamahal (Thank You for the Love).

“My heart rejoices being among those who performed in our anniversary celebration,” Yumi Yamada, KADIWA congregation president, expressed. “The brethren in our congregation continue to strive strengthening their faith.”

There were also games. As the participants engaged in “Pass the Message” and “Guessing Words,” laughter filled the air. A dinner followed.

The activity also paved the way “to further strengthen the bond among brethren while also encouraging them to unite with all of Church activities,” Brother Gerald Lico, resident minister, attested. On behalf of the congregation, he added, “We thank the Church Administration for approving this activity. We promise to carry on with our duties to our Lord God.” — With reports from Rhianna Angelique Gacoscos and Ronessa Dopeño of INC News Section
